Skills Trainers work to develop the day-to-day skills needed to live independently in the community, to be successful in employment and to develop a fulfilling personal and social life. Skills trainers approach each customer with respect for individuality and goals, forming a curriculum around each person's unique needs.

Skill Training

The Arc of Multnomah - Clackamas skill training program can assist people in reaching a variety of goals including:

  • Meal planning, shopping, cooking
  • Healthy living
  • computer skills
  • grocery shopping
  • household cleaning
  • budgeting & bill paying
  • recreation & social planning
  • lifestyle organization and time management

No vocational support provided
Transportation provided for training-related activities
On-site training at client’s home and in the community
